Beseech formed in 1992, and recorded their debut album, From A Bleeding Heart, in 1995, though due to record label problems, it wasn't released until 1998. At that time the band was more in the doom/death camp, but by the time of their third album, Souls Highway, they had moved into the goth rock camp. The band employs two vocalists, with Erik Molarin's deep goth voice (in the vein of Type O Negative's Peter Steele) effectively complemented by Lotta Höglin's graceful tones. Musically, there are plenty of those familiar goth melodies that seemingly only the Finns can do so well, the songs accessible yet occasionally somber. They announced their disbanding in October 2006.
