Brainstorm is another in what seems to be an endless stream of German traditional metal bands. Formed back in 1990, it took them seven years to release their first album, Hungry, but they've recorded pretty steadily since. Now five albums in, the style of Brainstorm is basically a blend of any number of bands -- bands such as Metal Church, Angel Dust, Agent Steel, and Iced Earth come to mind when listening to their work. They have improved with each album and now must be considered as part of the upper echelon of the German power/thrash metal field.
