Candiria
Candiria
|
Candiria has been an original and genre-redefining band for some time now, their core sound combining elements of metal, fusion/jazz, rap, and hardcore, to form a highly distinctive and intense sound. They're really all over the map musically, though from a metallic standpoint their early material bears resemblance to past fusion/metal bands such as Cynic and Red Tide, though Carley Coma's numerous vocal styles alone distances this band from merely being a fusion metal band. In addition to the usual trials and tribulations of being in a band, they survived a near-fatal van crash in 2002 (the event is commemorated by the album title and cover of their 2004 release, What Doesn't Kill You).
