Crossbreed
Crossbreed
|
Crossbreed is a Floridian entry into the nu-metal scene, debuting in 2001 with Synthetic Division. Aside from a more pronounced sampling/electronic influence, there isn't a lot to distinguish Crossbreed from the hordes of nu-metal bands that appeared around the turn of the millennium. That's not to say there's nothing worthwhile here -- the band performs well, the riffs are hard and the sampling effects do help, but ultimately it's a rather typical record. Synthetic Division is more than competently done and is satisfactory for the genre, but considering that the album was released during the height of the genre (and considering that the band have yet to release a followup), Crossbreed look to be in the second division of nu-metal bands.
