Hammers Of Misfortune
Hammers Of Misfortune
|
The Hammers Of Misfortune have been blazing their own trail for a few years now, clearly more interested in doing their own thing rather than trying to sound contemporary or modern, and yet they don't sound retro either. The style here is a sort of dark, medieval, epic power metal, similar to The Lord Weird Slough Feg (an easy pick, since two Feg guys are here) or maybe Manilla Road. Several members share lead vocal responsibilities, with Mike Scalzi's clear, unique style instantly familiar to any Slough Feg fan (though he has since left, to dedicate himself fully to Feg). This is a varied, mature, and original band, quite recommended to anyone seeking a unique spin on dark power metal.
