Ozzy Osbourne
Ozzy Osbourne
|
Metal's most endearing personality is amazingly still at it, still riding high on a career that seemingly never ends. His place in metal history would have been secure even if had done nothing following his tenure in the mighty Black Sabbath, but in fact his post-Sabbath solo career has been remarkably successful, and of course his recent offstage activities such as the Osbournes reality TV show only add to his legacy. No less than three standout guitarists (Zakk Wylde, Jake E. Lee, and Randy Rhoads) achieved their greatest fame as Ozzy's axemen, and the list of musicians who have played with Ozzy either on album or stage is an impressive list indeed. His solo career has been sporadic in recent times, but he does have a new album released in 2007, so there's still life left.
