Rammstein's intriguing blend of harsh riffs, techno/dance beats, and semi-spoken German vocals is responsible for their rapid ascent to stardom. Foreign-language bands seldom make much of an impact in the US, but tours with KMFDM (among others) and MTV play of their "Du Hast" video have helped to found a growing fan base. Their controversial lyrics and visuals have earned them some detractors along the way, but this band is still on the rise.
