Reverend Bizarre
Reverend Bizarre

Though Finland has produced a number of quality bands in almost every genre of metal, for some reason there are very few Finnish bands playing doom metal (save for funeral doomsters Skepticism). Enter Reverend Bizarre, a trio formed in 1994, pounding out slow, heavy, traditional doom the way it was meant to be played. The songs are long and drawn out, the riffs heavy, the vocals mournful yet clear and powerful. Anyone into real doom metal in the tradition of St. Vitus or The Obsessed will certainly like these guys, as they are arguably one of the best true doom bands of the last decade. The guys announced their impending breakup almost a year before the summer 2007 release of their last album, So Long Suckers.
