Throwdown has been a part of the hardcore/metalcore scene in Southern California for a number of years, forming around 1997. Over the course of several albums their style has shifted from straight hardcore to metalcore, and on their more recent Venom & Tears album they blend metalcore with a more groove-laden Pantera sound.

Upcoming album: Deathless, due November 10, 2009.
