Everyone loves top ten lists, and I'm no exception. Ever since I started listening to metal, I make out my own yearly top ten lists, and they are on display here. These are simply my favorite albums, no more, no less.
As much as I like my own top ten lists, I've also always been interested in what others think. So, soon after the pages went online, I started polling readers asking for their opinions. At first this was simply collecting emails, but that got too cumbersome, so eventually I came up with a form-based system that makes it easier for both you, the voter, and me, the tabulator. For years prior to 2002, the old system was in effect and the data hasn't been transferred, but for 2002 and later, you can add your vote by clicking the "Cast your vote" link at the bottom of the appropriate year's top ten page. Voting for Top Ten Albums of 2009 is now online. You may also still vote for 2007 and 2008 albums. Voting for past years will be reactivated at a later time.
