Bloodbound  

Bloodbound was formed in 2004 and initially was more of a power metal band, though apparently the band's image in those days suggested something more sinister. On their third album, 2009's Tabula Rasa, there's less power metal and more hardened traditional metal, with Urban Breed's soaring vocals complementing the riffs well (and their image is more representative of the music now). The album's production is crystal clear, almost to the point of being too sterile, typical of modern metal production efforts. Accessible yet still reasonably heavy, Bloodbound are a solid classic metal band, perhaps ready to make the leap into the big time.
