Benediction  

Veteran British death metallers Benediction were formed back in 1989, and is notable for once featuring vocalist Barney Greenway -- he sang for both Benediction and Napalm Death before touring commitments forced him to choose the latter band. Having overcome the usual lineup changes and so forth, the band remains one of Britain's longest-lasting and most successful death metal bands, dealing almost exclusively in old-school classic death metal, giving them a resemblance to several of the Floridian bands of the time.

After several years of relative inactivity, work started on a new album, originally scheduled for 2005 but finally released in the summer of 2008.
