Blood Feast

Blood Feast were one of the cult thrash bands of the late eighties,
at which time they were sometimes referred to as New Jersey's answer
to
Slayer.
Sure enough, their sound was rough thrash, almost bordering on death
metal, not too far removed from early Slayer or maybe
Dark Angel,
with over-the-top horror/gore-filled lyrical themes that surely
weren't meant to be taken too seriously.
They were reasonably popular in the underground during their heyday
and were one of the more popular artists on the New Renaissance
label.
They have long since disbanded, but did do some reunion shows in
1999.
