Coal Chamber

Without getting into any discussions about who came first, or
whether one band is influenced by the other, the fact is that
Coal Chamber bears more than a passing resemblance to
Korn, right
down to the downtuned guitars, the quirky/tortured vocal style, the
drum rhythms, pretty much the entire style is similar.
Having said that, it must be said that Coal Chamber doesn't merely
sound like a Korn clone -- rather, they play this style quite well
and with conviction.
Their breakup was announced in July 2003,
with vocalist Dez Fafara having since formed
Devildriver.
