Deadbird are another band treading the Isis path of distant hardcore vocals, drawn-out song structures mixing both crushing guitars and quieter atmospheric moments, albeit with a more sludgy influence similar to some of their NOLA neighbors to the south. There's a fair bit going on here, and while it might take another album or two before they distance themselves from other similar bands, the potential is definitely there.
