Doomshine

Germany is not normally known for producing doom bands,
but Doomshine, a newcomer to the scene, looks to change things.
Thy Kingdoom Come is a classic doom album strongly
reminiscient of
Candlemass
or
Solitude Aeturnus --
in particular, they've nailed that crunchy
Candlemass guitar sound perfectly,
and at times vocalist Tim Holz does resemble
Messiah Marcolin a bit, though he's far
less operatic than Messiah.
It's been awhile since such a well-executed
pure doom album was released,
and for that Doomshine are to be commended.
