This is one of the more unlikely band formations in some time, in terms
of nationality as well as musical styles.
There's an American drummer, a Swedish guitarist, a Romanian vocalist from
a French band, and a bassist from a Russian band.
And what could a guitarist from
have in common with the
Only in this modern world could such a project have come together.
Anyway, All You Want To
is the album from this unlikely quartet, and
it certainly sounds absolutely nothing like the aforementioned two bands,
instead opting for a slightly quirky, laid-back progressive rock/metal,
with all four members contributing equally and uniquely.
There's certainly a lot going on, and times things feel just a bit
unstructured, with the guys strutting their stuff but without cohesion
within a given song.
This isn't all manic flashy musicianship (though there's plenty of
individual moments), but it is experimental, unique, and a bit odd.
Time will tell if this becomes an ongoing concern or if this is a
(Attention Deficit, Primus)
