Excel

Excel was a crossover band with several strong ties to
Suicidal Tendencies --
same hometown, Excel members playing
in ST side projects, and Excel's debut album being released
on Suicidal Records back in 1987.
Excel's thrashy crossover metal style was arguably
a tad more metallic than ST was at the time, but the two bands
did sound somewhat similar, and Excel did enjoy moderate success
in their day.
After an extended absense from the scene, they are back in action
as of July 2012.
