Killswitch Engage  


Killswitch Engage mixes a bit of metalcore with some Swedish melodic death metal influencs, much like fellow Massachusetts bands such as Beyond The Sixth Seal and Shadows Fall. Jesse Leach effortless alternates between hardcore shouting and strong clean singing (he has since been replaced, it will be interesting to see if Howard Jones continues in that vein), and there's plenty of classic metalcore aggression to be heard. Alive Or Just Breathing has received several stellar reviews, and they look to be headed in the right direction. Their next album, The End Of Heartache, has now been released.
