Killer Khan

Killer Khan are so uncannily mid-80's, one wonders if the band has hibernated in a cave the last fifteen years. But while a band like this could easily sound stale or dated, Killer Khan is neither. The music derives from classic eighties metal, with a style that is reminiscient of bands such as Judas Priest or Dio, and yet is a sound all their own at the same time. Add to that vocals that are strikingly similar to Ozzy during his early solo years, and the result is an album that is just plain great to listen to. Uncomplicated, no-thrills metal all the way, Kill Devil Hills hits all the marks, and is highly recommended into anyone nostalgic about the good old days of metal in the 80's.
