Machine Men

Fans of all things
Iron Maiden-like,
this Finnish band formed in 1998, taking their name from the
Bruce Dickinson song that came out that same year.
The band themselves list Maiden and
Queensryche
as influences (the latter is less evident, though at times
these guys do resemble 'Ryche in their early days),
with the real resemblance being in the vocal arena --
Toni Parviainen is a dead ringer for Dickinson, and in fact
Dickinson's recent solo works are also a good reference point
for this band.
These guys may need to reduce their reliance on sounding like
their idols on future releases, but for now they've got a pretty
good thing going, their songs not offering a lot of surprises but
are well-constructed and enjoyable to listen to.
