Necrodeath  


Necrodeath was one of the earlier extreme Italian metal bands, formed in 1985 and releasing two albums in the late eighties before disbanding, with drummer Peso forming Sadist in the meantime. A decade later (2000), Peso and guitarist Claudio reformed the band, and since a string of albums have been released. Into The Macabre, the group's 1988 debut album, is somewhat of a death/thrash hybrid -- death metal was still in its formative stages at that time and Necrodeath's take on it was more of a messy thrash-n-bash approach, with vocals more aligned to thrash than the growling normally associated with the genre. Nevertheless, the band had its cult following at the time, and that following is still present to this day.
