More evil from the bottomless well of black metal that is
Norway, Obtained Enslavement forged a moderately successful
career that spanned over a decade (they formed in 1989) and four
albums.
The Shepherd And The Hounds is an accomplished album, if a bit
derivative, drawing from several familiar influences resulting in
a middle-of-the-road traditional black metal sound.
The band was thus more a follower than a leader, but good enough
at what they did.
