Powermad

Powermad was one of the bands that signed on to
Combat
Records for
their so-called Bootcamp Series, releasing an EP that managed
to win them a major label contract, rare for thrash metal bands at
that time.
The band gained some notoriety by having a bit part in the David
Lynch movie "Wild At Heart" (there is a scene with them performing
their song "Slaughterhouse").
Anyway,
Absolute Power is an decent enough album, though they
score points here since they actually have a song entitled
"B.N.R."!
By the late eighties they were done, but after a successful reunion
appearance in Germany in 2007, they decided to put the band back together.
With much-respected drummer Dirk Verbeuren hooking up with the band,
they now hope to record in late 2011.
