Reckless Tide

Husband-wife teams in metal are quite a rarity, and while there are plenty of female vocalists in metal as well as a handful of all-female bands, it's also quite rare to find an otherwise all-male band with a female guitarist. But that's the case here, as Reckless Tide was formed by the duo of guitarist Susi Swillus and drummer Kai Swillus (actually, according to their site, the story goes that Susi tired of watching Kai play in another band and demanded that the couple form a new band, or else!). Initially going by the name Intrepid Leech, the band eventually grew to a six-piece (including, interestingly, two vocalists), and after switching to Reckless Tide, embarked on their metal career, which so far has produced three releases. It's thrash all the way here, the style occasionally borrowing from the past but in general is more in line with modern thrash rather than sounding like an 80's retro act. These guys (and gal) aren't in the first division yet, but they're headed in the right direction.
