Segression
The Australian sleaze/hard rock band Eezee released one album
in the mid-nineties, and following a shift in personnel and musical
direction, the band Segression was born.
The album reviewed here, 1997's
Fifth Of The Fifth, is a decidedly
modern metal album, roughly in the nu-metal camp though with a bit
more diversity and variation than others in that field.
The band has released four albums to date, the most recent being
a self-released, self-titled effort in 2002.
Since that release came news of a side project named
Side Effect X.
However, since that band consists of the entire current Segression
lineup (plus a fifth member), it seems likely that Segression itself
is at least on indefinite hold, if not completely finished.
