Stabbing Westward

Stabbing Westward's first album,
Ungod, has a noticeable
Nine Inch Nails influence, perhaps not quite as angry as Trent's
group.
Since then the band gradually reduced the industrial influences,
with the most dramatic change taking place on the band's fourth
album, simply titled
Stabbing Westward,
where the band had moved toward an alterna-metal direction.
Self-titling the album was meant to reflect a rebirth and new focus
for the band, but a year after its release, in February 2002, the
band instead announced its amicable breakup.
