Treasure Land  

Though more well known for its boundless supply of death metal bands, Sweden has produced the odd progressive metal band, and Treasure Land was one of the better ones, releasing two albums more or less in the Dream Theater mold in the late nineties. The melodic progressive metal field was and is a crowded one, thus despite considerable musicianship and songwriting skills this band really didn't get the wider appreciation it perhaps deserved. The band was inactive for several years but is now back together with a new lineup and a demo in the works.
