Vehementer Nos
France continues to be a breeding ground for interesting
black metal bands.
Vehementer Nos' self-titled effort, six years in the making,
contains many nods to old-school Norse black metal
but also brings to the table a more adventurous songwriting
style (at times bordering on chaotic) as well as instruments
such as violins and cellos which help to establish more
varied moods within the songs.
An intriguing first effort for a band that is worth keeping an
eye on.
