A surprisingly mature band, X Factor X's sound is more hard rock than metal, 80's-influenced with a definite progressive edge. Mainstream without being poppy, the album features standout musicianship, variation, and production. Quite impressive given this is an independently released debut album -- a very well done album in the progressive hard rock arena.
