Amorphis

One of the more well-known Finnish metal bands in existance, Amorphis' career has spanned death metal (Karelian Isthmus), doomdeath (Tales Of The Thousand Lakes, one of the band's best efforts and a classic of the genre) to the more relaxed, somber post-doomdeath gothic sound as heard on the later material like Tuonela and beyond. In their later years they've continued to tinker with their sound, but they really haven't produced a dud album yet, rather they've been a consistent bands in terms of quality and do not look to be slowing down.
