Brats
Brats was the first band to feature the mighty guitar duo
of Hank Shermann and Michael Denner, who would later
become part of the legendary
Mercyful Fate
in the early 80's.
This band started out in 1978 as a straight punk band, then
broke up and reformed with a quite different lineup (only
Shermann remained from the original group) and a modified
musical direction.
They recorded one album in 1980, then promptly broke up,
as the album didn't fare well and CBS terminated their contract.
From a metal standpoint
1980 Brats is a curiosity at best, as
it has nothing in common with MF and is only occasionally
metallic, as it's really more of a loose, punky hard rock
album.
