Cradle Of Filth

One of the most popular extreme metal bands from England, Cradle Of Filth has parlayed a keen eye for marketing along with stunning visuals, and provocative/controversial lyrics to forge a stellar career that, even deep into their second decade of existence, still commands attention. While they are often thought of as a black metal band, they have little in common with the more traditional Norse bands, instead opting for a more symphonic, gothic black hybrid style, highlighted by increasingly versatile, yet always distinctive, vocals of mainman and visionary Dani Filth. Predictably, the band has survived numerous lineup changes over the years, with many members serving time in other prominent bands. Like many veteran bands, arguably the band has lost some luster in recent times, as it's increasingly hard for a band accustomed to living on the edge and pushing boundaries to continue to do so after some fifteen albums, yet Dani and crew continue to deliver.
