Catafalque

Catafalque represented Turkey's entry into the gothic metal world, releasing Unique in 2005 and Dialectique two years later. For the most part, this was standard melodic gothic rock/metal, with flowing keyboards and graceful, delicate female vocals sharing center stage with both clean and harsher male tones. Unique didn't quite live up to its name, it wasn't really unique in the gothic metal world, but it was competently done and one of the better efforts to come from Turkey in some time. The band broke up in 2011.
