Darkane

Darkane has rapidly risen to the top tier of Swedish death metal bands, debuting in 1999 with Rusted Angel and scarcely looking back since, with their fourth album, *Layers Of Lies, released in 2005. The band mixes a bit of the familiar Gothenburg-styled melodic death with a heavier, more aggressive approach, resulting in a style that slots nicely alongside bands such as Soil and Arch Enemy. They are now firmly entrenched as major players in the Swedish extreme scene.
