Exises
The Dutch band Exises first formed in the late seventies and went through
the typical lineup and style changes before landing a record contract
with Megaton for their self-titled debut in 1986.
It is claimed that the album is the first rock CD released in Holland.
Exises is an enjoyable hard rock/metal album, commercially accessible
yet still with a heavy edge (fellow Dutchmen
Highway Chile
is a reasonable comparison),
Due to label issues the band went dormant soon after the album's release,
and after some time work was started on the followup album
Reternity,
a space rock concept album no less.
For various reasons the album took forever to finish, finally seeing the
light of day in 1996.
