Iron Monkey
During their brief tenure Iron Monkey was frequently referred to
as England's answer to
Eyehategod,
and with good reason, as the Monkey's sludgecore riffing and
hardcore vocals slotted perfectly alongside EHG and other NOLA
bands.
They broke up around August 1999, with Dean Berry and Doug Daiziel
moving on to
Dukes Of Nothing
and John Morrow working in a band
called Murder One up to his death in 2002.
Founders Jim Rushby and Steve Watson resurrected the band in 2017,
with a comeback album scheduled for an October release.
