Jesters Of Destiny
Jesters Of Destiny were a quirky, offbeat, psychedelic-tinged band,
borne at a time where there really wasn't a defined audience for
such non-mainstream material.
Though some of their songs were too poppy/upbeat to be considered
metal,
Fun At The Funeral does contain some real gems, including
"End Of Time" (also found on a Metal Massacre compilation),
"God Told Me To", and especially "Diggin' That Grave".
With lineup changes seemingly an everyday occurence, the band
eventually produce the covers EP
In A Nostalgic Mood (this also
before covers and tributes were the rage as they are now), and
apparently a third release was recorded in some capacity but never
released.
While signed to the Dimension label (a subdivision of
Metal Blade,
and possibly the only band signed to said label),
they were referred to as "alternative metal" -- an apt description
back then, again long before it became a more common term.
released.
Lo, 30 years after their last record, the core duo returned in 2017
with a new album, apparently still in the psychedelic/eclectic rock mold.
