Mercenary

Mercenary has been a major force in the Danish metal field for a number of years, forming in 1991 and recording pretty steadily since their debut in 1996, amidst several lineup changes. A listen to their 2008 Architect Of Lies album shows the band slotting between a standard power/progressive metal style and the more modern version of melodic death metal, balancing the accessibility of the former with the aggression of the latter quite well.
