Odin

Odin ended up one of those could-have-been bands, massively popular in their early club circuit years but never able to really get off the ground. They formed in the early 80's and are no doubt best known for their appearance in the documentary film The Decline Of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years, which probably did them as much harm as good when all was said and done. Their style, as heard on their early cult EP Don't Take No For An Answer, was typical of the early 80's metal scene (think bands like Leatherwolf, maybe Malice, and a shade of very early Motley Crue), and indeed they tore up clubs in those early days, but never scored a major deal. They released a couple of more glam-oriented albums but failed to gain momentum there either. Guitarist Jeff Duncan went on to Armored Saint and also teamed up with drummer brother Shawn and a third sibling in DC4.
