Phantom

Phantom was one of many bands of the eighties and early nineties with a similar story, signing to low-budget labels and releasing decent if unspectacular albums, forging a middling career that lasts a few years before fading away. Their style was a sort of fast-paced, slightly accessible traditional American power metal, with Falcon Eddie Green's wailing vocals one of the trademarks of the band. They released three albums between 1987 and 1993, generating a bit of buzz but never really making the leap to the big time.
