Sex Machineguns

Sex Machineguns are one of several bands that carry on quite successfully in their homeland yet are virtually unknown elsewhere, which is odd since often these bands draw heavily from Western musical styles. For whatever reason, Japanese metal does have a distinctive tone about it (partially due to the language, but there's more to it than that), and Sex Machineguns have that sound, melded with classic speed metal influences as their songs race by at the speed of light. It's all pretty entertaining stuff, with a clear visual flair (also often a staple of Japanese bands) thrown in for good measure. The band had been put to rest in December 2006, with vocalist/leader Anchang wishing to pursue a solo career, but they are active as of this writing.
