Shepherd
A short-lived German doom outfit, Shephard managed
two albums in 2003 and 2004, with the second on
display here.
The Coldest Day is a pretty good slice of garage doom,
the kind of stuff that Hellhound Records used to be famous
for, and along with the interesting lyrical concept (the first
seven songs named for the days of the week, culminating
with the closing eighth track "Doomsday") features a guest
performance from doom legend Wino
(
Spirit Caravan et. al.).
Apparently the band broke up shortly after the album's
release.
