Sonic Syndicate

Only Inhuman, the second album by this Swedish outfit, sees these guys firmly entrenched in the modern metalcore scene. They've got the right pieces, in particular some crunchy riffing and a stellar production, but the songs really run together after a few listens and the vocals (some typical hardcore shouting, balanced by that clean post-hardcore style that seemingly every modern metal band is employing these days) further put this band in the "they're good, but they sound like everyone else" category. They're professional enough in their approach to forge a decent career, but at this point they're riding the current trend and aren't straying very far from the crowd.
