Stone

World-renowned Finnish bands were hardly in plentiful supply in 1988, and thus it was with little fanfare that Stone's debut album found its way onto a major label and worldwise release. That album was actually quite good, a cross between thrash and recent Motorhead that was quite effective. From a worldwise view they seemingly vanished without a trace soon soon after, but in fact managed a few more releases in Europe before initially breaking up in the mid-nineties, and in the intervening years since they've broken up and reunited several times (and they are active as of this writing), though their last studio album was in 1992. Various members were later seen in a variety of bands, including Sinergy, Amorphis, Suburban Tribe and Waltari.
