Savage Messiah

Formed in 2007 and now four releases into their career, London's Savage Messiah play a traditional form of thrashy American-ish power metal. There's nothing wrong here, as all the parts are in place -- the vocals are fine if not particularly powerful, the guitarwork is great, the production is clean and pristine. On the other hand, there just isn't much in the way of something truly different, as any number of similarly-styled bands have this basic sound, Savage Messiah is quite capable for the style, but those seeking something different might be disappointed.
