Vanden Plas

A stalwart of the German progressive metal scene for a number of years, Vanden Plas comes straight from the Dream Theater school of melodic, classy, intricate progressive metal. At times the band almost sounds too close to Dream Theater, but at other times they stretch and branch out more than enough to toss aside any clone accusations that might come their way. Clearly one of the best in the field.

Recent album: The Empyrean Equation Of The Long Lost Things, released on April 19, 2024.
