Artension

Highlighted by the outstanding keyboards of one Vitalij Kuprij and featuring several veteran musicians, prog metallists Artension recorded seven albums over a successful decade-long career. Kuprij's work in particular gave the band an occasional Yes or Deep Purple sound, complementing more contemporary influences (the usual suspects such as Dream Theater). Mainstays John West and Roger Staffelbach are involved in a new band as of this writing (Feb 2013) called Artlantica, while Kuprij is now in the very successful Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
