Bus The Unknown Secretary

The oddly-named Greek band Bus The Unknown Secretary (really have no clue what that's all about) have released a string of EPs and a few albums since their 2011 formation without a ton of fanfare, but perhaps their 2024 effort We Are The Night might change that. The imagery and lyrics are in the horror and occult themes, but musically this is prime early punky NWOBHM worship ("Somebody Spits On You" has to be the most NWOBHM-sounding song recorded in the last decade) while on their slower tunes the occult themes and snarly vocals bear a slight resemblance to Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats. It's a short, wild, nostalgic ride, and sure to to be a hit for NWOBHM fans.
