Centinex

Centinex was one of the veterans of the Swedish death metal scene, having formed in 1990 with several quality releases under their belts. They've gone through more than their share of lineup changes (indeed, problems finding suitable drummers led to their using a drum machine for several mid-period albums (the ones where "Kalimaa" is a member)), with bassist Martin Schulman the sole constant member, but they push forward with each successive album. Musically, they were somewhat in the melodic death metal realm, perhaps not quite in the In Flames category but not too far removed from fellow Swedes such as Dismember or At The Gates. Citing the usual personal/musical differences that eventually arise in many a band, they disbanded in March 2006, and then reformed some eight years later in early 2014.
